Support the Deutschlandstipendium with an amount of your choice: every donation helps to make a scholarship possible. The Deutschlandstipendium supports each scholarship holder with 300 euros per month. The scholarship of 3,600 euros per year is paid half by the Federal Government and half by private sponsors, such as companies, foundations and private individuals. You do not have to sponsor an entire scholarship of 1,800 euros to support HU students. We pool smaller donations in the scholarship fund, and when we reach 1,800 euros, we can offer an additional scholarship. This way, even small amounts have a big impact.

Every donation counts twice

Every euro you donate is doubled by the Federal Government according to the matching funds principle. This means that 200% of your donation goes to the students.

Would you like to donate an entire scholarship with your colleagues?

If you want to donate an entire scholarship (alone or in a group), you have the option of specifying the degree programme or subject of your future scholarship holder – so you can directly support the students of your institute or faculty, for example. You then sponsor a specific person, whom you can get to know and support in non-material ways at our scholarship award ceremony and other networking events. In this case, please contact us directly. We will be happy to advise you.

Donation campaign: "humboldt fördert”

With our "humboldt fördert" fundraising campaign every December, we encourage staff and friends of the Humboldt-Universität to donate to the Deutschlandstipendium.

The idea for this campaign came about during the first "Covid winter" in 2020, when many of our students lost their jobs and thus also their livelihoods. We asked the staff and friends of the Humboldt-Universität for help and met with a great response: with the money donated, we were able to provide additional support for 15 students through the scholarship fund!

After the positive feedback, we decided to stick with the campaign and continue to appreciate every donation from our researchers, staff, alumni or friends of the Humboldt-Universität.
